What is Mood Burst?
Mood Burst is a Chrome extension that adds emoji animations to Google Search. When you press Enter in the search bar, emoji matching your selected daily mood burst out from the search box.
Data we collect - We collect nothing
Mood Burst does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The extension has no servers, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party integrations of any kind.
Local storage
The only data Mood Burst stores is saved locally on your device using your browser's localStorage:
• Your selected mood (e.g. "happy", "relaxed")
• The time you selected it (to reset after 24 hours)
• The position of the mood panel on screen
This data never leaves your device. It is not accessible to us or anyone else.
Permissions
Mood Burst requests access to google.com and its regional variants solely to inject the mood selection panel and emoji animation into the Google search page. The extension does not read, copy, or transmit any content from pages you visit.
Third parties
Mood Burst does not use any third-party services, SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising networks.
Children's privacy
Mood Burst does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
